What is On-Tool Extraction?

Central high vacuum (CV) systems use very high negative pressures (up to 20kPa) in small-diameter deducting to provide local oon-tool extraction. Hand tools (grinders, sanders, drills) are fitted with dust shrouds and flexible hoses connected to local points — capturing dust and fumes immediately at the source.

Ideal for car body shops, metal fabrication, and composites — where high volumes of dust make local extraction the only suitable approach.

Key Features & Benefits

High Vacuum Performance

Operates at up to 20kPa — perfect for small-diameter deducting across longer distances.

Smart Energy Use

Inverter-controlled systems adapt airflow in real time, reducing power consumption.

Built for Industry

Automotive, metalworking, composites — heavy dust environments.

Targeted Extraction

Tools connect via dust shrouds and flexible hoses for immediate local capture.

Full Duct Design Service

Custom engineered layout, hosing, accessories, and multi-point connections.

Quiet Operation

Under 70 dBA across the range — no hearing protection required.

System Configurations

4kW System

No expensive ductwork, no major electrical work, and no heat loss — recirculated air reduces HVAC expenses year-round.

Typically for 3-4 operations. Compact central unit for smaller workshops.

12.5kW System

No expensive ductwork, no major electrical work, and no heat loss — recirculated air reduces HVAC expenses year-round.

Designed for 10-15 operators. High-volume dust extraction for larger teams.

Inverter Control

Optional

PLC-controlled fan speed adjustment based on real-time operator demand.

Operator Stations

Optional

Remote on/off switching, multi-point heads with compressed air & power.

How It Works

1. High Negative Pressure

CV operates at pressures up to 20kPa, allowing small diameter ducting over long distances.

2. Local On-Tool Extraction

Operators connect extraction hoses to local connection points near their workstations.

3. Energy Efficient

Inverter controlled via programmable PLC — airflow adjusts to level of use.

Complete Dust Control Strategy

High vacuum on-tool extraction can be used standalone or combined with downdraight benches to achieve near-100% dust capture:

On-Tool = Source Capture

Removes dust at at the exact point of generation — most effective for fine particulates.

Downdraught Bench = Area Capture

Collects residual dust that escapes the tool — ideal for larger workpieces

Combined = Maximum Protection

Used together in car body shops, metal fabrication, and composite layup areas.
